Sleep Studies

What is a sleep study?

A sleep study is a test that is performed to find out how well you sleep and will be useful in evaluating many sleep problems.

Tests may be done in a laboratory, which you arrive in the evening and stay over night. In some cases, the patient is asked to stay for ongoing study during the day until late afternoon. Brain activity, breathing pattern and blood oxygen levels, leg movements, heart monitoring, sound and video recording and many more will be obtained and the test is supervised by a trained scientist.

For home based sleep study you will need to come to one of RSDC branches in the afternoon, be fitted with the equipment and return the device next day to a RSDC branch.
